ACS SCI-COMP

(excited internal screaming)

Our competition was uploaded on the school newsletter!
The photo of our club will be discussed in a post after this!

Despite being a club with members fewer than a usual, popular club, ACS Chemistry club definitely is a very strong and well-packed club. Throughout the school year, we’ve conducted so many experiments, connected with the younger kids, posted on YouTube, went on a field trip numerous times, and now, we’ve come so far that we’re even hosting a poster competition for the elementary school!

Since I established ACS chemistry club with the intention to help students approach Chemistry in a fun way, the main objective of the competition our club is hosting is also to raise awareness among not only our school’s community, but also the global community on essential lab safety rules. Although these Elementary students may not grow up to major in a science field, lab safety still is a very crucial aspect of being a scholar, as students may need this fundamental knowledge somewhere, sometime, that we may not know.

Students are able to apply as many entries as they want, only in the requirements that it has to be the size of an A4 paper. Both digital and physical entries are allowed, and the prizes are as follows:

  1. National Geographic’s Science Experiment Kit
  2. Stationary Kit (150 items)
  3. Chicken Coupon of their choice

Participation prizes: candy!

Thankfully, the school agreed to post our advertising posters on the school email newsletter and the school’s official Instagram page! Hopefully we receive many posters, because we are planning to host annual ACS SCI-COMP competitions from now on as a new school tradition! This will be the first annual ACS SCI-COMP, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead of our club!
