After an entire semester of club experiments and experiments with Elementary students and even a field trip(which will be posted later on), ACS club members and I have decided to host a lab safety poster competition for the Elementary students here at our school!

It is called ACS SCI-COMP because ACS, our club name (American Chemical Society) + SCIence COMPetition! We wanted to raise awareness about the importance of lab safety rules because they can be applied anywhere and everywhere! So even if the elementary kids were to major or be passionate in some other field, these rules would still serve as practical tools some time in the future.

Our competition has been promoted by the school’s official newsletter, the TVs in school, even the school’s official Instagram page (all shown in the video above), as I contacted the main communications officer! This is so exciting even as a new club, and we’ve already received about 12 digital submissions! (We will retrieve the physical submissions tomorrow)

The video is also set as Instant Premiere on 8:00AM KST on April 24th, so please stay tuned!

Please create an A4 poster (digital or physical, both are fine) that displays ONE lab safety rule. Please apply by April 30th! The judges will be the ACS Chem Club members + our club advisor, so please stay tuned for more!
